Portland, OR – Cascade College head coach Bryant Howard has announced that Alex La Flamme and Jake Fisher have signed letters of intent to run Cross Country for the T-Birds in 2008.

La Flamme is from Aloha, OR where he was the team captain this past year for Coach Tim Tank at Aloha High School. Aloha competes in the very strong Metro League, considered to be one the toughest in Oregon. “I am looking forward building relationships with my teammates and others on campus,” commented La Flamme. “I knew I belonged at Cascade after running with the guys and visiting campus. I am excited about being a Thunderbird, and helping Cascade become a top team in the conference.” 

“Alex is a team first guy who will add depth to our lineup,” commented Coach Howard. “I know his leadership will help us immediately, and I am very glad he will be a part of our team.”

Fisher hails from Cedar Park, TX where he was a valuable member of the x-country team at Vista Ridge High School, one of the premier programs in Texas. “Coach Howard really let me explore what life as a student and runner at Cascade would offer,” said Fisher. “Everyone at Cascade seemed excited about the future of T-Bird x-country, and I hope to help make our team a feared program in the region.”
