Portland, OR – A 7 point Cascade lead evaporated into a 10 point deficit over a 5:30 stretch in the second half as the T-Birds fell at home to Northwest Christian 79-71.

The 17-0 run was finally broken by two Tayo Cotton free throws, but the damage had been done as the lid went on the rim for Cascade over the closing minutes.

Cascade held a 37-35 lead at half and led 60-53 with 8:00 to play before the Beacon run. T-Bird Eric Taylor, Jr. was fouled on a three point attempt, and hit all 3 tries to cut the lead to six at the 1:03 mark. NCC calmly sank 7 of 7 free throws in the final minute to preserve the lead and the win.

Taylor paced Cascade (5-17, 0-14 CCC) with 22 points off the bench, and Erving Adams hit for 17 on 7 of 9 shooting.
