Portland, Ore. - Head Coach Bryant Howard announced that local athlete Nura Dureti has signed a letter of intent to run cross country for Cascade College in 2008.

 

Dureti is from Roosevelt High School in Portland where he participated in soccer and track. Originally from Yabello, Ethiopia, Nura moved to the United States at age 10. 

"We are very fortunate to have Nura join our team," said coach Howard. "He is a remarkable young man with an inspiring life story. He has a lot of potential as a runner, but will make an impact for our program in many different ways because of the quality student-athlete that he is."
