PORTLAND, Ore. - The Thunderbird Women's Cross Country program is pleased to announce that Newport High School's Ericka Hicks has signed a letter of intent to run cross country for Cascade College starting with the 2008 season.
Hicks ran two years at Newport High School qualifying for the OSAA State Championship meet both year for coach Dave Campbell.
Ericka is also a talented middle distance runner competing in both the 400 and 800 as well as the 4x400 relay. "I'm looking forward to the experience of running in college, and achieving some great things for Cascade," said Ericka. "I had a good time when I visited the campus, thanks to Coach Howard, and my host!"
Cascade College is a four-year, private, co-educational liberal arts college emphasizing spiritual growth and career preparation. Cascade College offers a close academic community within a vibrant metropolitan area. Cascade is a branch campus of Oklahoma Christian University.
