Portland, OR. - Two-time Capital Conference Champion Connor Streed has signed a letter of intent to become the newest member of the Cascade Track and Cross Country program.
"Connor is one of those special athletes that everyone agrees has a tremendous amount of untapped potential", commented Coach Bryant Howard, "he has a rare combination of athleticism and work ethic that has allowed him to achieve a great deal in a very short time already."
Streed, who began competing in the Pole Vault at La Salle as a sophmore, also has experience in the high jump, long jump and the sprints. He began showing promise immediately and soon threatened La Salle's two decade old school record, finally surpassing it as a junior. Since then he has bettered his own record 7 times, while earning consecutive conference championships and podium finishes at the OSAA State Championship Meet.
Coach Howard added, "I'm definitely looking forward to helping Connor achieve his athletic goals, but more than that I'm excited about bringing in a terrific student-athlete that everybody at Cascade will be proud to get behind."
