Portland, OR. - Men's Basketball is providing a free summer basketball camp for youth in grades 1st - 8th that will be held at Portland Christian Jr/Sr high school during the week of August 11th - 15th.
Attention
If you're between the grades of 1st - 8th, you love basketball, want to learn the game or improve your technique, are willing to work hard, and want to make friends and have fun in the process; this basketball camp is for you.
Why this basketball camp?

Cost is free for five days of fundamental basketball.

Camp Objectives
- To present the fundamentals of basketball so that each youngster fully understands and appreciates the sport.
- To provide instruction in individual and group settings, as well as through supervised competition, so that all participants realize their maximum potential.
- To expose each camper to the various philosophies and techniques representative of college and professional coaches and players.
- To provide an enriching experience through the development of competitive spirit, athletic skill and good sportsmanship. To share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Daily Program
- Instructional sessions with college players; competitions for basketball prizes and giveaways.
- Basketball fundamentals; individualized improvement exercises developed for each player, five-on-five league play, and three-on-three competitions.
- Stretching exercises and flexibility training.
- Offensive skills development; one-on-one, free throw, and three-point contests.
- Each player takes home a free basketball and T-shirt
What to Bring
Each camper should bring daily: T-shirt, athletic shorts, basketball shoes, socks, and water bottle. Please label all items clearly with first and last name.
