PORTLAND, Ore. - Head men's basketball coach Anthony Baugher has announced the signing of another player for the 2008-2009 season.
Elliot Barker averaged 7.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for coach Paul Brogan at Modesto JC last season. "Elliot is a great rebounder and an improved shooter from the 3-pt line," said Brogan. "He is looking forward to playing with his brother Ryan again."
"Elliot will provide us with depth at the 3 and 4 spots, he is very aggressive and physical inside the key and that will help us in our conference," Cascade head coach Anthony Baugher stated. "We are going to enjoy watching him excel in the class and on the court, we are very fortunate to have such a strong student-athlete in our program."
Elliot will transfer to Cascade with two years of eligibility. The 6'6 forward from Turlock, California was an all-league player for Turlock high school in California and will major in Business.

Cascade College offers a close academic community within a vibrant metropolitan area. Cascade is a branch campus of Oklahoma Christian University. The 12-acre campus is located within the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon just ten minutes from Portland International Airport, near the Metropolitan Area Express train system (MAX) and a short drive from stunning natural attractions such as the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Mt.Hood, Multnomah Falls, and the Oregon coast.
