Caldwell, ID - Cascade College women's soccer came up just short in their first ever playoff game, falling to The College of Idaho 1-0 today at Symms Field.
The game's lone goal came early, as the 'Yotes Leah Roach flicked a shot in the 10th minute that trickled over the line before being cleared by the T-Bird defense.
Cascade pressed forward in the second half and tried to score the equalizer, but several good chances were turned away by the C of I keeper.
The hosts outshot Cascade 13-10, and held the advantage in corner kicks 7-3.
"We had the opportunuties, but it just wasn't our day," said coach Justin Bigelow. "We'll take this experience and keep building and improving for next season. The ladies can be proud of the way they performed this year."
